MEET THE 2018
ZWIFT TRI TEAM

We are pleased to announce this year’s Specialized Zwift Academy Tri Team!

This team will now dive into training, and share their journey with the Zwift community as they go for personal bests and achievements at Kona in October . We want to thank every athlete who applied to the program, and tell you that the journey doesn’t stop here. Get ready to train with the team and take your fitness to new heights.

THE TEAM

RACHAELNORFLEET USA

Based in Kansas City, 24-year-old Rachael Norfleet is a full-time student who juggles multiple part time jobs and is often short on time to train. "I have to make every pedal stroke count. Zwift allows me to make every session a quality session," says Norfleet. Fun facts? Rachael is terrified of open water swimming and put on her wetsuit backwards before her first race.

Golo PhilippeRöhrken Germany

Golo Philippe Röhrken, a 29-year-old physician in Hamburg, Germany. After finding out he made the Specialized Zwift Academy Tri Team, Golo could hardly believe it. “I think I’m the happiest triathlete in the world, right now,” gushed Golo. Fun fact? Golo listens to Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” before every race.

GeertJanssens Belgium

When he’s not training, Geert Janssens works as a police detective. The 30-year-old is excited and even a little nervous to be part of the Specialized Zwift Academy Tri Team. “Knowing the whole world is watching will add some stress, which will help me push my limits even farther,” he says. Fun fact? Geert is the founder of the Belgian Beer Mile Foundation.

BexRimmington UK

Bex Rimmington’s first love was swimming, competing at the national level until she was 18 years old. She also represented her county as a runner. And on two wheels, she raced as a tandem pilot for blind and visually impaired riders, winning bronze at the World Paracycling Road Race Championships in 2009 and earning a #1 ranking in 2010. Fun fact, she once started a tandem ride without the other rider and carried on for a few miles, wondering why her fellow rider wasn’t answering her questions.
